Her Head sulks, a tear appears at the corner of her eye. She reflects upon her keenness and how confident she was that this was IT. Tears began to pour down her cheeks as she began to find her composure. She has to find the strength to get up and open the door & let him know.
As the door opens, his anticipating eyes look for signs of elation on her face. He lingers impatiently as she slowly saunters out. No words are spoken; he glances at her and discerns how brokenhearted she is. He embraces her in his arms and she hides her face in his chest and starts to weep. He places his hand on her head and tries to console her.
“It is not the end, we shall try again”
“Amir, I am tired. It’s been 10yrs. Maybe God hasn’t blessed us with a child”
“Don’t say such things, Zohra. It will happen one day I know it will. We shall carry on trying and pray for his Miracle. Remember most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all.”
When does one realize that there is no hope and that it was never meant to be ? How long should the anguish lasts before someone is blessed?

Your short reminds me of an Iranian film I saw "Leila," which I discussed on my blog once.
Good question. You can't live in denial *sigh* You must realise sooner or later that some things are just not meant to be for you :(
I try to blog about things that have happened to me or to those who are close to me whom I care about. I can never understand the justification as to how can God deprive a woman of one of the greatest gifts that God himself has bestowed on her: Motherhood.
I am aware that God works in mysterious ways and I am in no way questioning his wisdom, I am just searching for an answer to bring appease myself.
When ever one realizes its always too late, most of the things/affairs of life are uncomprehendable, why di this happen, and why did that happen, us humans can never really answeer accurately..
But hope springs eternal..
Even if some oen is on death bed, we keep on hoping for the well being even if the docs say no life, we hope for them to live till they live..
God deprives a woman of motehrhood, tot est ehr patience n strength often, moitherhood itself needs a lot of patience/sabr.. those who cant be go through more ordeals..

Many people are deprived of different things, great gifts. There are people who are deprived of caring, loving husbands, or loving families. There are people deprived of food, shelter and safety. There are people deprived of good health. The list goes on and on...
Not to lessen this woman's hardships. But does she have a caring, loving husband? (ie, a non-wife beater, etc)? She should be grateful if she does. They can always adopt.
There are many children in this world without parents to take care of them. Many children in Thailand for instance who are sold into the sex trade by their own birth mothers because the mothers simply can't afford to take care of these children. The world is full of unfortunate children who would love to have a caring home.
InshAllah it works out for the best *sigh* I don't understand why many things are the way they are. Many hardships in this life. I just try to be grateful for what I do have. InshAllah this couple can do the same.
Bump! Wrote a comment, any response? hehe *blush*
A Work mate and his wife have been trying for ten years now. This time they were sure that the test would come positive. She was so confident that she had also informed a couple of close friends including me. When i met her after the bad new broke out i couldnt say anything to console her. The more i looked at her the more i kept finding a reason for this misfortune
*sighs*
Its true if we look at the bigger picture and all the pain and suffering around use we seem to forget the pain we are going through. But deep in our heart the aspiration never dies, you always keep on asking "WHY".
Yes, it's sad :( I know what you mean. You can see so much suffering around you, but always still question your own suffering... why...
