I'm not sure if I agree with you here. Sometimes there are tragic endings and there is nothing that you could've done about it. And I think there can be righteousness in tragic endings. I think a good example of that is the Battle of Karbala! I would say that was a tragic ending, but righteous.
If you are talking about not having been able to acheive certain goals in life, that can be tragic, yes, also righteous I believe, because I do believe a large part of life is luck and some things just aren't written in your qismat, no matter how hard you work towards it or no matter how hard you wish and work for them to happen.

There is no chance, no destiny, no fate, that can hinder or control the firm resolve of a determined soul. Let nothing distract us from being happy, let nothing else determine our fate, but ourselves.
